Geneva Motor Show : Tata Tiago

Tata Zica which has been renamed as Tiago,  was showcased at the on-going 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The Indian automaker has rebadged it, courtesy the resemblance of its previous name ‘Zica’ to that of the ‘Zika’ virus. Tata has showcased the personalised version of its hatch at Geneva, which was recently displayed at Tata’s pavilion during the 2016 Indian Auto Expo.

Geneva Motor Show : Ferrari GTC4Lusso

Ferrari has showcased the GTC4Lusso at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The name sounds distinctive and the credit for same should be delivered to Ferrari, as they have creatively amalgamated the names of 330 GTC and 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso, along with the seating capacity of the four-wheeler (4). The upgraded version of the FF has made its international debut at the Switzerland show, though the car had been showcased earlier.

Geneva Motor Show : Aston Martin DB11

Aston Martin has at last unveiled its post Bond DB series car, the DB11. This is the first product to be launched under the company’s ‘Second Century’ plan. The car is just staggering and packs a 600bhp 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine, which makes it the most powerful production DB car ever to be made. Maruti Swift and Swift Dzire facelifts coming this year

At the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, Maruti Suzuki India launched its Celerio hatchback and unveiled Ciaz and SX4 S Cross. Moreover, the company also displayed the performance oriented Swift Sport. The company is now planning to introduce the facelifted version of Swift and Swift Dzire by the festive season. Earlier, both models were rumoured to be launched at the Auto Expo.

Nissan cars gets 4-6% cheaper in india

 Nissan today confimed it will pass on the full benefit of recent cuts to vehicle excise duty in India to its customers. The change in taxation was announced by the Indian Government as part of this year’s Interim Union Budget.

Maruti Suzuki YL1 sedan could be named as Ciaz, to replace SX4 in India

Like other carmakers, Maruti Suzuki India, is involved in the final preparations for the upcoming 2014 Indian Auto Expo. We were the first to reveal that it will unveil its all-new sedan, codenamed as YL1 at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, and now it is expected to be named as "Ciaz". This model will replace the SX4 sedan and is likely to be launched by the end of this year.

Isuzu Motors India holds grand ceremony for its new plant in Andhra Pradesh

Isuzu Motors India Private Limited, today held a ground breaking ceremony for its new manufacturing facility at Hyderabad.The plant will start functioning in 2016 in Sri City in Andhra Pradesh. As of the initial plans are concerned, the unit will produce 50,000units and it will further expand to 120,000 units. Isuzu has concerete plans to introduce such products which will be focused to cater different customers needs. As far as investment is concerned, the company has put in Rs 30 billion to raise this unit in India. In collaberation with Mitsubishi, the Japanese brand will bring brilliant products to India. Mitsubishi has been in India for years as a partner with Hindustan Motors and now the company will tie-up with Isuzu for production.

Second Amby Valley drag run ends successfully

Elite Octane Inc organized the second edition of its popular Valley Run – the only drag race in the country at the Amby Valley strip in Lonavala over the weekend. This year the event saw participation of 400 drag enthusiasts along with the presence of some of the finest race tuned Indian cars and bikes, supercars and superbikes competing to clock the fastest quarter mile. Keeping the crowds entertained and offering spectators some variety was a Supercross event, which included a championship for under 14 racers & the pro seniors. A brand new professional drag racing timing system was also provided; the same system is used by all professional drag strips across the globe.
