Nissan Readying to Sell the Juke-R Concept

The Japanese auto giant, Nissan has recently confirmed that is ready to put on sale the production version of the Juke-R concept. The Juke-R concept is the outcome of the unique amalgamation of Juke hatchback’s bodyshell and the powerful GT-R’s twin-turbocharged V6 engine. This production will be a ‘very limited’ one.  Initially, the Nissan Juke R concept was intended as an attention-grabbing concept and was orchestrated and constructed in Britain. But according to a spokesperson of the company, it was developed to respond to the consuming pressure of creating a perfect on-road version. Three people have apparently made deposits on this concept. The script of crossing the body of the hatchback Juke with the drive-train of the crossover GT-R will be strictly followed in the production version of the Juke-R.

The body-shell of the Juke hatchback will undergo some serious and heavy modifications. The limited edition of this Nissan Crossover Hatchback concept will be restricted to only 20 cars and just like the concept itself, the production version will be developed in Britain.Nothing has been stated clearly about the prices of this new and unique concept, but it has been guessed that even the least price of this concept is going to be sky-high at around £125,000. The final on-road version of the Nissan Juke R concept will be housed with a more powerful engine than the production version; this will happen because of the new version of the GT-R’s twin-turbocharged V6 powertrain that is capable of generating a massive power of 540BHP.

The incorporation of the ‘V-platform’ is one major factor contributing to the car's improved impact safety. The car is designed to absorb the forces of a frontal impact, owing to the sophisticated crumple zones, while maintaining cabin integrity due to its highly reinforced body shell. All variants including the entry level (XE) are equipped with driver airbag. The front MacPherson Strut and rear Torsion Beam provide excellent cushioning effect, reducing fatigue during long journeys. Particular attention has been paid to bump absorption, ensuring that the Micra will ride smoothly over challenging road surfaces, not suffer from wallow or float, and cruise effortlessly at highway speeds.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Kiminobu Tokuyama, M.D. & CEO, Nissan Motor India said that this moment was awaited by the company and that they look forward to a long and fruitful association with their product and services in India. The Nissan Micra is the right product at the right time that will offer the customers a good means of urban mobility with a complete package of performance, features, safety and comfort, he added. Tokuyama also commented that they expect Micra with its latent advantage and its unique features to do well in the Indian market and carve a niche of its own compared to other competitive models in this segment.

In order to ensure a good customer interaction system, the company has been engaging itself in expanding its dealership networks across India. The company is already receiving a great response towards the car as it has received 2000 bookings prior to its launch at various dealer outlets.
